February 20, 2009

            I have updated previously but forgot to update the update!

  • Checked to make sure links are still good for the businesses I do have. 
  • Added beginnings of the map sections
  • Added several new websites and updated some yahoo links with pictures (Enchanted Blooms)
  • Put in the outline format of places you can go: You Can Get There From Here
  • Added some services organizations, museums and clubs to the side bar.
  • Tweaked the Mission page.

 

August 21, 2008

  • Had the new updates ready back in June but got caught up in a ton of activity: Convention, town and Democratic stuff. 
  • The maps section is not ready yet but I’m putting up the updated front page anyway.

 

April 16, 2008

  • Added Cavalierpupart to the directory.  Taits has a new site but I can’t see it yet.  It will be linked as soon as it is visible.
  • Taxes were done by the deadline.  I hate paperwork (even if I’m not doing the final forms!)
  • Oscoda Stomp (and OscodaStomp) comes up first on Yahoo search, but Google is not co-operating.  Still not coming up on a general “Oscoda” search.  I will hit the key-word submissions again soon.
  • Spring headaches abound.  We look forward to the Spring weather pattern shifts being over soon.

 

April 08, 2008 -

  • Reworked the Animal Shelter site and updated their newsletter
  • Spent most of the rest of March on taxes and store printing jobs
  • We have traveled out River Road, F-41 and North US 23 noting miles and things to see for the YOU CAN GET THERE FROM HERE pages.  We have some pictures of landmarks but they will look nicer later this Spring or early Summer.
  • Working on an OACBA page - business and community group.

  • Added Local Teez, Office Bar and T&S Homes, Thompson Builders, Inc. links to their websites from the front page.

 

February 19, 2008 -

  • Gotten behind on the webpages.
  • Been working on Commission art- two dog portraits almost finished.
  • Our OACBA group honored the DPW “guys” for all their hard work.  Spent the last two weeks working on certificates, minutes, programs and getting the hallway looking nice.
  • Still working on taxes.
  • Have pictures for Shoreline Framing and Great Northern Bookstore
  • I have info for Garden View Coffee Mill and Enchanted Blooms but don’t know if they are wanting a site yet. 
  • I am almost around the block and then will branch out up and down US23.
  • Most difficult thing is getting “content” for each site.  It is hard tooting your own horn.
  • Weather has been terrible.  We had a hard time getting into the driveway at home.  We have a hill and it was a sheet of ice.
  • Oscoda Area Schools asked to be linked.

  • Fanny’s Fine Things is online. 
  • Pockrandt’s started. Need to take pictures.
  • Illumina started.  Need to take pictures.
  • Oscoda stomp is updated to include mission statement and KISS webpage information. 
  • I have a linked map of walking downtown in progress.  Hubby has been assigned to drive the “you CAN get there from here” routes since it was his suggestion.  He can jot his notes down for ideas on presentation and take pictures. 

 

January 24, 2008 -

  • Did a rough draft of  Fanny’s and Bayberry’s as a sample since I had a newsletter and concert flyer (and permission) from there.  Got permission to use Coffee Mill menu for sample on flyer
  • Work in Progress is a work in progress.  ;)  
  • The Iosco County Animal Shelter is up- still needs the paypal and linkback from the listings page setup. 
  • The dems page has a problem with the domain setup. 
  • I wasn’t going to do an Oscoda Stomp front page until I did a few more sub pages, but I decided to use it as an index.  Note to self: run video idea by TM and ask Jeff to set up db for WIP.
